การจะเป็น postcrosser ได้นั้นมีวิธีดังต่อไปนี้
1. สมัครสมาชิกที่ http://www.postcrossing.com/
2. request ที่อยู่ของ postcrosser คนอื่นๆ ซึ่งเราไม่สามารถระบุประเทศปลายทางได้ เพราะเป็นระบบ random นั่นเอง (ใช้คำสั่ง send postcard)
3. ส่งโปสการ์ดไปหาคนที่เรา request4. รอการลงทะเบียนโปสการ์ดเพื่อเป็น postcrosser ที่คนอื่นๆจะส่งโปสการ์ดมาหาเราบ้าง
สโลแกนเก่าของ postcrossing มีอยู่ว่า 'I sent, therefore I recieved'
ต้องเป็นผู้ส่งก่อนนะ คุณถึงจะเป็นผู้รับบ้าง
แถมอีกนิด ผู้ส่งสามารถมีผู้รับในลิสต์ได้ครั้งละไม่เกิน 5 คน เมื่อครบ 5 คนจะ request เพิ่มไม่ได้ ต้องรอจนกว่ามีคนลงทะเบียนโปสการ์ดให้เราอย่างน้อย 1 คน
หรืออีกกรณี ถ้าโปสการ์ดที่เราส่งยังไปไม่ถึงผู้รับสักที ภายหลัง 60 วันการrequest มันก็จะ expired และผู้ส่งสามารถ request ที่อยู่ใหม่ได้

I believe postcrossing users have a lot in common in the way they interact with the world around them, and a forum is a good way to go beyond postcards and strength the community spirit.
